Randy Orton Doesn't Think He'd Make A Good Coach

Randy Orton is a 14-time world champion who is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of his WWE career. From Royal Rumble victories to Money In The Bank wins, the man they call The Viper has done it all. When he eventually does hang up his boots (which almost certainly won't be any time soon) Orton will be able to look back on his career with pride ... but what comes next? Well, probably not coaching.
"I don't really think I'd be a good coach because I would start to just ramble," Orton said of a potential coaching career during a recent interview with GiveMeSport. "It's almost like I don't know how to articulate myself to a group of green guys that are coming into the business that need to learn the basics. If there was three, four or five guys, a small group, and if we could go and talk and sit in the ring," he added.
One half of the current Raw Tag Team Champions did concede that he would be prepared to impart wisdom on younger talent under the right circumstances.
"If it could be like close quarters, just a small group of people where we're not doing drills and stuff, but just talking and maybe watching tape, I think I'd be good in that aspect," he said.
Orton is currently dominating WWE's tag division with his partner/protégé Riddle.
"I think he's already outshined most of his little class of NXT that have come up over the last year," Orton said of his tag partner on The Kurt Angle Show last year. Orton also shared the story of his very first encounter with Riddle.
"My olive branch was basically me just looking at Matt and I go 'Oh, there he is, there he is,' just kind of ice breaker, expecting a 'Oh hey Randy, my name is Matt, nice to meet you,'" he recalled. "But instead, Matt just kind of, with the bloodshot eyes, glanced over at me and just kept walking. I remember thinking 'That motherf****r.' For quite a while I didn't like Riddle and it was because of that little scenario."
