WWE has removed from Ezekiel from the company's internal roster pages, a new report has claimed.
Ezekiel debuted for WWE in April of this year on the Raw after WrestleMania show, playing the brother of Elias.
And while Ezekiel may be on his way out, PWInsider is reporting that Triple H is preparing to bring Elias back.
It's not all doom and gloom though, as the same report notes that Ezekiel has been replaced by Elias, suggesting that the 34-year-old is getting his old character back.
Ezekiel is no longer listed internally on the WWE's roster, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The character was replaced last week with his original persona, Ezekiel's "older brother" Elias. It would appear that, as many of you have suspected, the Elias character will be returning to the Raw roster.
WWE produced some entertaining segments over the last few months where, thanks to some great editing skills and camera trickery, both Elias and Ezekiel were shown.
It remains to be seen whether or not we're going to keep seeing those, but if the reports are to be believed, Elias will be the main character moving forwards.
Latest on Triple H's plans for the WWE roster
Ezekiel reverting back to Elias is just the latest move from Triple H in his new role as Head of Creative, which he was given in the final week of July.
Along with Ezekiel/Elias, it seems like Max Dupri is going to be reverting back to his old LA Knight character from NXT, which teased during last night's episode of SmackDown.
As for other characters reverting back to their old gimmicks and names, we've seen Theory, Ciampa and Riddle's names changed back to Austin Theory, Tommaso Ciampa and Matt Riddle over the last few weeks.
During the final portion of his time with WWE, it seemed like Vince McMahon wanted to make alterations to several characters, but Triple H seems to be quite content with reversing those changes and going back to what worked before.
As of right now, there's no word on when WWE plans on bringing Elias back to TV and officially writing the Ezekiel character off for good, but GiveMeSport will look to keep you updated with any potential updates on the matter.
GiveMeSport also has more on the unexpected surprises that Triple H has coming to WWE over the coming weeks, which you can read more about by clicking here.
