The Countdown Begins! [Evolution 54 promo]

A week ago, Ashley Pearson dropped a bombshell when she announced that this could be her last year in SEF. She said she wanted to be in SEF when she makes her official retirement from professional wrestling. Her mission, before she retires, is to capture more SEF gold this time around with the company. Tonight at Evolution 54, Ashley teams up with Jason Stratus fighting for number one contendership to the Tag Titles currently held by The Resurrector and Sammy.

Like last week, Ashley Pearson meets Greg Boone for lunch in a small restaurant, this time in Memphis, the site of Evolution 54. The waitress takes their order and brings them coffee and finally Ashley and Greg have their conversation.

Greg Boone
So, are you still certain that this is your last year in SEF?

Ashley Pearson
Yes. My mind has not changed on this. I'm not even sure if I will make it to the end of the year, but who knows? But yes, my the end of December this year I will have retired from professional wrestling.

Greg Boone
Well whenever you do decide to retire, it's going to be a bit heartbreaking to Ashley Pearson fans.

Ashley Pearson
Be that as it may, but all good things have to eventually come to an end.

Greg Boone
Well tonight, you team up with Jason Stratus to take on 3 other teams to be named number one contenders for the tag team titles. You face Cody & Shane Jericho, Nykki Delight & Tina, Xanthus & Mack, but my question at the moment is what exactly do you think about your tag team partner? He approached you about a possible alliance, but we never got your opinion on the matter.

Ashley Pearson
Jason definitely has the potential to rise to new heights in SEF and that is not something I thought I would say. Regarding a possible alliance, I perfer to perform solo, but there is something to the idea of Pearson and Stratus teaming up. With my experience and his athleticism, we have the potential to get a lot of things accomplished in the ring. So I guess I actually enjoy the thought of teaming up with the guy.

Greg Boone
Jason is certainly a rising star, so it will be interesting to see how well you guys do as a team. But what are your thoughts on Cody & Shane Jericho?

Ashley Pearson
Honestly, I feel bad for saying this, but I feel like The Jerichos are a joke team here in SEF. They possess a somewhat good variation of moves, but they have yet to really accomplish anything here in SEF. There is potential there, but I don't see them as a threat, more of a joke. I think Brandy Jericho & Billy Gibson stand a better chance of winning this honestly.

Greg Boone
That's kind of harsh, don't you think?

Ashley Pearson
That's just my personal opinion. I've always been a straight shooter, you know this!

Greg Boone
Okay then. How about Xanthus & Mack? Two veterans here in SEF that you have worked with in the past. How does it feel to be in the ring with these guys?

Ashley Pearson
I'm so glad there are veterans in this match, because with The Jerichos and Nykki Delight involved, I thought this was going to be a bit of a cake walk. Xanthus & Mack will make an awesome tag team and I think it could come down to them and Jason & I.

Greg Boone
So you don't see Nykki Delight & Tina as threats?

Ashley Pearson
You know, Tina mentioned the other day that she has no intentions on getting her hands dirty in this match, but I think she should reconsider. Nykki Delight is a very green wrestler and is no real threat to me. If Nykki were my tag team partner, I would want to keep her out of the match. And besides, I'm not finished with Tina just yet.  I haven't forgotten about her making me tap out at the SEF Rumble. I invite her to step into the ring with me and see if she gets lucky again.

The waitress brings out the food to Ashley and Greg. They take a few bites of their meal before continuing with their discussion.

Greg Boone
Sounds like you have your mind set on winning these tag team titles.

Ashley Pearson
I do! I wasn't playing around when I said I wanted to win more championships this time around in SEF. Tonight, Jason and I are going to prove to the thousands in Memphis that we are are a force to be reckonned with. We're going to step into that ring and give it all we got and I have confidence that Jason and I will win and we will be that much closer to the tag team championships!

Greg Boone
Well I definitely look forward to seeing it.

Ashley and Greg continue on with their meal. Evolution 54 takes place tonight from Memphis, Tennessee. Ashley and Jason, two very different people with different unique styles of wrestling, team up and face 3 other teams to be named number one contenders. Even with Ashley's experience, some are looking at Ashley & Jason like they are the underdog team. Tonight, they get a chance to prove those people wrong!
