During tonight's WWE NXT: The Great American Bash broadcast, a vignette aired for a wrestler named Axiom.
This is the name for the wrestler formerly known as A-Kid. In the video, they didn't show his face but it was clear that it was him when they showed a camera shot of the back of his head. Apparently, he's a math wizard now as part of his gimmick.
Axiom (real name Carlos Ruiz) is from Madrid, Spain and he gained some buzz in the United States when he competed on shows for Chikara and PWG, among other promotions.
The 25-year-old previously wrestled on the NXT brand. He has been under a WWE contract since 2019. On November 26, 2020, he became the first NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion when he defeated Trent Seven in the finals.
