A new WWE executive talks about the wrestling world at large.
Rob Fee was recently hired by WWE as the new Longterm Creative Director. With experience in the world of comic books, MTV, and Disney programming, Fee now finds himself in the world of WWE, which can arguably be described as an amalgamation of all of the different brands he has experience with. A fan of wrestling overall, Rob recently tweeted about all of the different acts in wrestling that he enjoys watching.
His list encompasses names from IMPACT, AEW Japan, and the independent scene at large. Included on the list are names such as Jamie Hayter, Mike Bailey, Tony Deppen, Kota Ibushi, and more.
Fightful Select recently reported on the hiring of Fee, noting that he is a big Bray Wyatt fan and previously pitched an idea for a Bray Wyatt movie.
From Select:
WWE has added an interesting name to their employ, in an equally interesting spot.
Fightful has learned that horror writer Rob Fee recently joined the company, starting full-time work in October, and officially signing this week for the spot of Director of Longtime creative. Fee has worked as a horror writer for Marvel in the past and has been well-regarded for his work. He's penned comics for Spider-Man, Daredevil, Avengers, and was head writer on several Disney shows.
Fee once pitched a Fiend-related movie, that was said to have resonated well with
WWE higher-ups, and had the possibility of getting produced. However, Bray Wyatt was released shortly after, so the project couldn't get produced. However, we have been told that one of Fee's early projects with WWE has been the direction and production of the QR code-related cryptic messages we've seen on television in recent weeks that has gained an incredible amount of buzz.
Fee is known as a longtime follower of wrestling and sources within the company said the was very familiar with the product.
Bray Wyatt recently returned in grand fashion at WWE Extreme Rules 2022.
