[The American Tradition]

In this crazy world of professional wrestling, anything can happen. Transsexuals can compete and subsquently bitch about life and how they're treated, and long-forgotten heros can make a comeback like nothing ever happened. The latter was the case of Phoenix Winterborn in his return to SEF after so many years. After having picked up the win in his return match againt Bill Roberts, he failed to qualify for the Anarchy rumble, but was back in action this week against one Tristan Darland on the upcoming edition of WAR. To say that Phoenix needed this win to get back on track was an understatement. This win was meaning everything to the American Tradition.

Open scene on Phoenix as he steps through the curtain, "Money for Nothing" playing in the background. Slapping hands with a few of the fans as he makes his way towards the ring, he rolls in and asks for a mic. The cheers die down, as Phoenix rests on the top rope, looking towards the hard camera.

"So, last week didn't go exactly as planned. I failed to qualify for the SEF Rumble. Which is quite alright. I know when I'm not ready for something. But this right here? This is a chance to get back on the path to what I came back for. The SEF Championship. Bill Roberts already fell before me. Now, it's time for Tristian Darland to fall. See, when I came back, I made it CRYSTAL clear that I was looking to face the best that SEF had to offer. The fact that I've been given this so far? Not gonna lie, I'm not all that impressed. Mack, throw me a bone here. Send someone from your goon squad out here instead of mister Darling. Everyone in this arena knows what I can do between the bells, and they know I do it better than damn near anyone in this locker room, or ANY locker room, for that matter. So, hows about next time, and yes powers that be, I'm talkin to you. How about you give me a challenge? If everyone here is wondering why I'm talking about things that are out of my control rather than my opponent? Well, I saw him in aciton last week, and there wasn't much to be said. Nothing real good, but nothing real bad, ya know? Middle of the road. Just kinda there. Plain. Vanilla. I could go on, but the fact of the matter is this. I'm going to continue to do what I do, and I'm going to continue doing it better than anyone else. Bring him on, I got work to do."

With that, Phoenix dropped the mic on the outside of the ring, smiling into the camera...
