Ronda Rousey praises the current state of the WWE women's division.
Ronda Rousey captured the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship for the first time at WWE WrestleMania Backlash when she defeated Charlotte Flair in an I Quit Match. Wasting no time adding credibility to her reign Ronda Rousey defend the title against Raquel Rodriguez on the May 13 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Defeating the former WWE NXT Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey would also shake Raquel's hand at the end of the match in a sign of respect.
Now, in an Instagram post following the match, Ronda Rousey stated that if it was not for the strength of the division, she would be the champion of nothing.
"Without a robust division, I am the champion of nothing. Thank you for the challenge @raquelwwe hope it's not the last," she captioned her post.
Natalya commented on this post praising the division, saying "I so agree. We need ALL of our women to matter."
Raquel Rodriguez would leave a comment saying that she hopes she and Ronda wrestle again soon.
