Drew McIntyre has been taken off this weekend's non-televised live events due to a back injury which has kept him out for a few weeks earlier this year.
The number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Universal title has been dealing with back issues for months now and needs rest according to ProWrestling.net's Jason Powell. To prevent any further damage, McIntyre missed last night's event in Salisbury, Maryland, and will not be at tonight's Atlantic City, New Jersey show.
While no surgery is expected, the Scottish warrior will be taking things easy until Clash at the Castle where he will main event the show with Roman Reigns in front of so far over 62,000 fans in Cardiff, Wales.
McIntyre will be at Smackdown next week for a face-to-face segment with Roman Reigns.
