Wardlow envisioned a feud with Triple H when he was growing up.
Nearly every wrestler has a dream feud that never came to fruition, whether it was poor timing or different eras. Wardlow is no exception as he grew up watching wrestling at the height of Triple H's run on top of the WWE and always thought he may end up feuding with "The Game."
"I struggle with this because I can't think of just one. That's hard, that's like asking, 'what's your favorite song?' You have so many favorite songs or favorite movies," Wardlow said on Afternoon Drive on The Fan when asked for his all-time dream feud. "Growing up, the villain to all of my heroes was always Triple H. I loved The Rock, he feuded with The Rock. I loved Jeff Hardy, he feuded with Jeff Hardy. I loved Batista, he feuded with Batista. There is a part of me that always felt like I would go on to be Triple H's next big feud, one day. I always thought that way."
Triple H is currently in charge of creative and talent relations in WWE while Wardlow is the reigning AEW TNT Champion. Triple H has also stated that he is retired from the ring following his health scare in September 2021.
Wardlow is set for action at AEW All Out when he teams with FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to take on Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, & Sonjay Dutt.
