IMPACT Wrestling has a bunch of current champions that aren't under contract, and another talent whose contract status is in a bit of a unique situation.
As Fightful had mentioned last month, The Good Brothers committed to work with IMPACT through at least late August, but they're far from the only champions in the company that have interesting contract status. We've confirmed that IMPACT Knockouts Champion Chelsea Green is still a free agent, and hasn't signed a contract with IMPACT. Green continues to work for NWA, GCW, and several indie companies while appearing on weekly IMPACT Wrestling TV.
Green's VXT tag team partner and fellow tag team champion Deonna Purrazzo has a bit of a more unique situation. Originally, Purrazzo's contract is set to expire at the end of 2022. As a result, we're told that Purrazzo and IMPACT Wrestling are set to actively discuss her future in the company, and more specifically the 2023 years. Sources familiar with the situation indicated that IMPACT believes they hold an option year.
Purrazzo came into IMPACT Wrestling and worked the first several months without a deal, even after she'd won the Knockouts Championship. She finally signed with the company, and we're told that after receiving a raise, there was time added to her contract.
However, at one point when IMPACT gave her a raise, an option year that she'd not verbally agreed to as a part of the deal was included. This has led to somewhat of a disagreement between the two sides that they're looking to rectify.
