AEW EVPs get suspended, Punk reportedly being terminated after backstage brawl

The backstage fight at All Out is resulting in suspensions for all individuals involved and even worse for two others who are facing getting fired.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting that AEW EVPs Kenny Omega, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson, along with producer Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler are all getting suspended for their involvement on Sunday.

Eyewitness reports suggest that Omega and the Bucks stormed CM Punk's locker room after he made it back from the explosive press conference and confronted him in front of his wife. Punk's friend and AEW producer Ace Steel then joined the party and that's when things got ugly.

Punk threw punches at Matt Jackson and Steel threw a chair at Nick Jackson, hitting him in the face. He then bit Kenny Omega before others got involved.

Meanwhile, the fate of CM Punk and Ace Steel hang in the balance as both are up for termination. AEW President Tony Khan met with his World champion yesterday to discuss how a potential departure will be handled.

The situation is said to become more clear by the time Wednesday comes to a close.

Barrasso also adds that a third-party investigation will be conducted to get to the bottom of what went down on Sunday

Hangman Page, who is close with The Bucks and Omega and FTR, who are super close with CM Punk, were both gone from the arena by the time the fight happened and were not involved.
