PWInsider.com has more exclusive details of what happened last night and what led to the walkout of Sasha Banks and Naomi from Monday Night Raw, altering the main event and direction heading into the Hell In A Cell premium live event.
In an extensive post, Mike Johnson wrote that originally, Naomi was supposed to beat Sasha in the six pack challenge and then she would go on to face Bianca Belair at Hell In A Cell for the Raw Women's title.
There were also rumors that Banks would also have some kind of a win on Smackdown to face Ronda Rousey, perhaps at Hell In A Cell as well, for the Smackdown Women's title.
But creative laid out suggested that both Naomi and Banks would be on the losing end of stick in their respective singles matches and the champs thought that would devalue the titles they hold, pretty much destroying everything they've been trying to build since before WrestleMania. PWInsider adds that there was no issue with Banks doing the job for Naomi but the problem was what was coming after.
When the duo were told that the plan remains for the Naomi victory and subsequent storylines despite a meeting with Vince McMahon, Banks and Naomi headed over the John Laurinaitis' office and gave him the Women's Tag Team titles and simply left the broadcast just as Raw was about to start.
The duo remain employed at the moment and releasing them might not be the best idea. Banks is a major star while Naomi, a very popular wrestler on her own, is also married to Jimmy Uso.
