Path of a Warrior [War RP #1]

[Tadakatsu (忠勝)]

The camera opens up to show Tadakatsu sitting in his room with his legs crossed; his armor propped up on a armor stand, his katana resting on it's own stand in front of the armor on a block table as Tadakatsu seems to be looking down at a table that was ordered just for him to be more level with the ground as he moved a chess piece into place for the white side before placing his index and thumb thoughtfully on his chin. The book from the Chinese genius, Sun Tzu, sitting beside the chess board as the warrior observed the board before him. One of his handmaidens shuffles quietly to him as she delicately places a cup of tea on his other side and makes her exit from the scene. Tadakatsu does not even seem to acknowledge her presence...he is just that focused on the chess pieces and their formation before he raises a hand, as if ready to move one piece but then stops as his eyes slowly lift towards the camera lens.

SEF...[he mutters as his hand gestures towards the black side] Tadakatsu...[his hand floats over the white pieces as he picks up one of the white knights] When I issued my challenge...two weeks ago. Many thought it was just to the warriors in the ring at the time. But Tadakatsu issued that challenge to all of SEF and so...all of SEF is my adversary; a warrior that stands between Tadakatsu and complete victory.

Tadakatsu reaches over and takes one of the black pawns with the white knight he had in his hand, before lifting the now lost piece. Showing it for all to see that SEF has already lost one of it's pieces in the early game of Chess.

John Carter, a man who now earned the right for me to say his name, has already been claimed by the war path that I, Tadakatsu, shall carve. A war path that shall be cleared using nothing but my strength...pride...tactics...and skill. The say that John Carter has learned from the match that we had...that he is getting better. That is exactly what I wanted to do...reawaken a warrior within John Carter. Get him away from playing with children's toys and get him to step up to the next level. I will forward to facing John Carter in the future...until then though.

The black pawn, pinched between two fingers is slowly rotated before Tadakatsu glances to the defeated piece and lowers it down towards the side of the chess board, with a sharp thud, the piece is placed at the side of the board before he folds his arms over his chest.

Now I face a man who I feel deserves me to say his only, based only on reputation alone. I have looked into the past of Mat Matlock and I see that this warrior is a man with years of experience in SEF. I have stepped over a budding warrior and now find myself crossed with one that has much to show for his career. This excites Tadakatsu, to be given such an early chance to strike a hard blow. Japan is a land filled with warriors that the Western continent has yet to see, I strive to show everyone just how powerful Japan can be...open some eyes. Mat Matlock, you are now one of my true tests; I will not back down from your presence...instead I will only be strengthened with resolve to overcome your image you carved into SEF.

A gloved hand traces along the edge of the chess board very carefully before Tadakatsu reaches over and moves one of the bishops from the black side, placing it to threaten one of white's exposed pawns. His eyes focused on the piece before his finger lifts to finalize the movement, his eyes from behind his mask slowly lift towards the camera once more...his eyes...so cold yet..so focused...the eyes of a warrior.

A war is much like a game of chess. You have the beginning phase...where you must carefully put all your pieces into position and get them ready for the next phase...the middle where where two sides battle for control, battle to be able to dominate the other and finally the end game...where all the pieces combine together to put the enemy away by taking away the most important piece, which is ironically the weakest piece in your possession. SEF has made it's next move by placing you in front of me, Mat Matlock. Now it is time for Tadakatsu to make his move.

Tadakatsu sits up straight, his eyes locked on the camera as if he were staring right at Mat Matlock, his hand slowly lowering as he lifts up his cup of tea, placing one hand underneath the ceramic cup as his fingers hold onto the handle to keep in place. The brings the cup to his lips and takes a small drink, his eyes closing for that one moment before he returns the cup back to it's spot and his eyes open.

The skies will burn crimson on our meeting...Mat Matlock...because on that day...one warrior shall fall.

The camera slowly fades to black, ending with Tadakatsu giving an expressionless face coupled with a focused stare.
