Swerve Strickland weighs in on the next step for the AEW women's division.
Triple H is praised by fans, peers, and the wrestlers for helping talent like the Undisputed ERA, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, gain more exposure and allowing them to shine while he was the head of NXT. Swerve Strickland has previously said that Triple H allowed him to be himself when they worked together in NXT.
Though there have been many successes under Triple H, Swerve believes his impact on the women's division is his greatest accolade.
"His most successes have been the women. I don't think we talk about that enough," he said on Say Less With Kaz, Lowkey and Rosy.
Triple H is credited for playing a big role in the women's revolution in WWE by giving women more time and opportunities in NXT.
Swerve and Kaz were discussing the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match and how the women were put in a high stake position on a major show. Swerve noted that he believes that's the next step for the AEW women's division.
"The next jump for us in AEW is to get that for the women. Get four, five, six, top strong heavily pushed women into some type of ladder match with stakes on the line. That's our next big jump for the next pay-per-view, the next big event. We have to get to that level. We're still working on it. We're still...having Saraya come in. That's a huge get. That's another one that can have a line out the door, around the block, to be an attraction for AEW. People look at it like, 'here they go, pulling more talent.' That's a good thing," he said.
Saraya's arrival at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam has led to an uptick in screen time for women in AEW. Saraya recently said that Tony Khan has been available to listen to her input and tried to use her ideas on the show.
Elsewhere during the interview, Swerve discussed Tony Khan facing challenges coming out of AEW All Out and explained why it's a good thing.
