Orange Cassidy is the new All Atlantic Champion.
On the October 12 edition of AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy was able to knock off PAC to win the AEW All-Atlantic Championship. Cassidy defeated PAC after referee Bryce Remsburg prevented PAC from using a hammer in the match. Moments later, Cassidy nailed PAC with a Orange Punch, which was followed up by a successful pinfall.
Despite having three singles bouts in the past, this win marks the first time that Cassidy has defeated PAC in a one on one affair. Most recently, PAC defeated Cassidy at Dynamite: Grand Slam after nailing him with a ring bell hammer.
This is the first time that Orange Cassidy has held gold in the promotion.
After the show went off the air, Cassidy noted that he doesn't like carrying things. He asked for his backpack to be brought to the ring. Kris Statlander, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, came to the ring with the backpack and celebrated with the Best Friends. Cassidy then thanked the fans in attendance.
PAC, who was the inaugural champion, held the belt for 109 days. During that time, 'The Bastard' defended his title against stars like Trent Barreta and Kip Sabian, while also putting the title up for grabs in bouts that took place overseas.
