Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting through his Select service that Chris Jericho told CM Punk that he was a "cancer" in the AEW locker room following his explosive All Out press conference.
The two crossed paths backstage after Punk finished his expletive-filled rant and Jericho was on his way to do his and that's when the exchange happened.
As we all know the story, Punk then went into the locker room and was then confronted by Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks where a brawl took place, resulting in all of them getting suspended and their titles stripped.
Ace Steel has already lost his job as a producer in AEW as a result of the fight. The Elite are seemingly back to their regular jobs after a two-month suspension while Punk, who is out injured for months, is in negotiations with AEW to have his contract bought out, ending his one-year stint in the company in the most dramatic way.
Dave Meltzer of the Observer also noted that Jericho along with other top names have indicated that they will not be willing to work with Punk if he's brought back to the company, with most of the talent backstage pretty much turning on CM Punk following the bad decisions after All Out.
